This policy applies to michaelwebstudio.com, including the project enquiry forms on the Start a Project and Website Redesign pages, and to the advertising campaigns that send visitors to them.
3. Information collected
Information you provide
When you submit an enquiry form: your name, email address, company, current website, the type of project, your main goal, budget range, preferred timeline and anything you write in the details field. Only name, email, project need and budget range are required; everything else is optional, and sending the form is voluntary.
Information collected automatically
If you accept analytics and advertising cookies, these tools record: your IP address and approximate location, device and browser type, the pages you view, how far you scroll, which buttons and links you use, the site that referred you, and any campaign parameters in the URL — including utm_source, utm_medium,utm_campaign, utm_content and advertising click identifiers such as fbclid.
If you decline, these tools are not activated and none of the above is collected.
Cookies and similar technologies
Strictly necessary storage remembers your cookie choice so you are not asked on every visit. Analytics and advertising cookies are only set after you accept them.

- To reply to your enquiry, prepare an estimate and carry out any resulting project.
- To understand how the site is used and which content leads to enquiries.
- To measure and improve advertising campaigns on Instagram and Facebook.
- To keep records of business correspondence and agreements.
Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, the legal basis is your consent for analytics and advertising, and the steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract for enquiry handling.
Your information is never sold, and it is not used for automated decision-making.

The following services may receive information as described:
- FormSubmit
- Delivers enquiry form submissions to my email inbox. The contents of the form pass through this service. Used whenever you submit a form, as it is necessary to deliver your message.
- Google Analytics & Google Tag Manager
- Website analytics and tag management. Only after you accept.
- Meta Pixel and Conversions API
- Advertising measurement for Instagram and Facebook campaigns, including whether a visit from an ad resulted in an enquiry. Only after you accept.
Each of these providers processes data under its own privacy policy and terms. They are based in the United States, so your information may be transferred and stored outside your country of residence.
6. Advertising and how to opt out
If you accept advertising cookies, Meta and Google may use them to measure campaign performance and to show you advertising. You can control this at any time:

7. How long information is kept
Enquiry emails are kept for as long as needed to handle the conversation and any project that follows, plus the period required for business and tax records. Analytics and advertising data are retained according to each provider's own retention settings. You can ask for your enquiry to be deleted at any time.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the use of your information, to receive a copy of it, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting what happened before you withdrew it.

This site offers professional services to businesses and is not directed at children. Information is not knowingly collected from anyone under 16.
10. Changes to this policy
