Overview

ENURM QBank prepares medical graduates for the ENURM, the Dominican Republic's national entrance exam for medical residencies. It is really two products in one: a marketing site that has to sell a subscription, and an authenticated platform where candidates build custom exams, run full simulations, drill flashcards and track performance across months of study.

01The challenge

A study platform is used for hundreds of hours by people who are already exhausted, so every extra click between a candidate and the next question is a click repeated thousands of times. Meanwhile the public site has to turn a sceptical student into a paying subscriber. Two very different jobs, inside one product.

02The approach

The marketing site leads with the outcome and the proof — certified questions, personalised exams, detailed progress — and puts a free trial ahead of the pricing table so the product does the selling. Inside, the dashboard opens on the four numbers a candidate is actually chasing: questions answered, study time, exams completed, overall performance. Recent activity makes an abandoned session trivial to resume, custom exams, simulations and flashcards each get their own space, and an admin panel keeps the question bank maintainable without a developer.

What changed

The specifics,
not the adjectives.

  1. 01

A free trial placed ahead of pricing, so the product does the selling.

  2. 02

A dashboard that opens on the metrics a candidate is actually chasing.

  3. 03

Custom exams, ENURM simulations and flashcards as distinct study modes.

  4. 04

An admin panel that keeps the question bank maintainable in-house.
